The new network expansion will extend service to Okaloosa County, Crestview, and Fort Walton Beach.

Gigapower announced on March 19 that it is expanding its Florida fiber network to Okaloosa County, Crestview, and Fort Walton Beach. The company’s commercial wholesale, open access platform will provide multi-gig fiber network access to internet service providers and other businesses.

The expansion is a result of the Gigapower joint venture between AT&T and BlackRock, and services are expected to be online in the coming months.

Okaloosa County board chair Paul Mixon said in a press release, “We are excited about the technology fiber broadband investments being made in our community and applaud any efforts that bring high-speed internet to the residents of Okaloosa County.”
