Vecima Networks Inc., a developer of integrated hardware and scalable software platforms for broadband access, content delivery and telematics applications, this week announced that Blue Stream Fiber has selected Vecima’s MediaScaleX solution to power the delivery of its complex multi-vendor IPTV solution. Leveraging Vecima’s technical experience, the platform will be managed and implemented for Blue Stream via Vecima’s Master Project Management system.
With MediaScaleX, Blue Stream Fiber will offer a full IP integrated solution to its customers. Deployed across over 300 channels, including local, sports, international, and premium content sources, subscribers will benefit from modern features such as network DVR (nDVR) and time-shifted services like startover/catch-up (SoCu). The new services offering represents a significant quality of experience improvement for Blue Stream Fiber’s video subscribers, the company says.

Upgrading its existing system to a complete end-to-end solution allows Blue Stream Fiber to consolidate IPTV Transcoding (File & Live), Origin, Cache, and Centralized Storage functions. Streaming its media workflow from ingest to delivery accelerates Blue Stream Fiber’s go-to-market timelines, reduces operational costs, and expands its footprint, the provider says.
