Mediacom promotes Paul Pecora to Group VP of Operations

Mediacom Communications reports that it has promoted Paul Pecora to the position of group vice president of operations for the operator's U.S. Coastal Region.

In his new role, Pecora will lead the cable operator's day-to-day operations for an eight-state area that includes Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

The operator stated that a key focus of Pecora and his team in the years ahead will be the management of over of $50 million in state and federal grants awarded to Mediacom to expand broadband access to more than 27,500 homes and businesses within the region.

Pecora joined Mediacom in 2009 as area director of the company’s Arizona and Southern California markets. He was promoted to vice president of operations for the operator's Coastal Region in 2015.

Prior to joining Mediacom, Pecora served as vice president and general manager of Comcast’s Tucson system.

Pecora will be replacing Doug Frank. who is retiring from Mediacom after a long career in the cable industry that began with Hauser Communications in 1987, and included management positions at Time Warner Cable, TCI, AT&T and Comcast.

Frank joined Mediacom in 2006 as regional vice president in Chillicothe, Illinois, and has been leading the operator's Coastal Region operations since 2015.

John Pascarelli, Mediacom’s executive vice president of operations, said:
