VeEX Inc., a global specialist in test and measurement platforms for next-generation networks, has formally introduced general availability of its MTTplus-340 advanced multi-service test module.
Equipped with dual SFP+/SFP optical transceiver ports, dual RJ-45 ports, dual SMA for External Clock references, as well as standard legacy electrical interfaces, the new multi-service module offers independent and complete multi-rate testing capabilities.
The MTTplus-340 module for VeEX’s MTTplus test platform offers an advanced test solution for access, metro and Carrier Ethernet applications, supporting OTN, SONET/SDH, PDH/DSn, Fibre Channel, CPRI, C37.94 and synchronization capabilities.
Key features of the new module include:
- Flexible, all-in-one multi-service test solution, from 64 kbps to 14 Gbps.
- Transport, Core, Metro, SAN, Backhaul, Fronthaul and Network Synchronization capabilities
- Offers two fully independent test ports for simultaneous measurements.
- Covers all aspects of the installation and maintenance processes to troubleshooting.
“The MTTplus-340 includes native support for all the latest high-speed interfaces up to 16G, as well as lower legacy rates for day-to-day installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Its dual-port architecture allows two independent tests and enables new functionalities, such as pluggable optical module diagnostics and advanced optical transceiver testing,” said Erick Davila, Product Marketing Manager at VeEX.
The MTTplus family supports an extensive series of technologies from Ethernet, Fibre Channel (SAN), TDM (OTN, SDH, SONET, PDH, T-Carrier), CPRI/OBSAI (C-RAN) Fronthaul, Backhaul, Fiber Optics (OTDR), WDM (OSA), RF/CATV and Broadband access test solutions.
Originally introduced as a future-proof modular field test solution, VeEX says the MTTplus platform is flexible and adaptable to fast evolving communication technologies, all while protecting the user's original investment. The company contends that its MTTplus-340 module "validates that this vision still holds true, with telcos, MSOs, utilities companies and contractors benefitting from its dual-port flexibility and multi-tasking testing capabilities."
